- Provide ADL care and make sure residents are comfortable
- Assist nurses with daily patient tasks; vital signs, charting, glucose checks, assist with ambulating, IV and catheter care, etc.
- Protect employee s rights, dignity, and privacy by abiding by HIPPA standards and regulations
CNA Requirements :
- Active CNA or PCT
- BLS Certification
- Sometimes the Medication Pass certification is needed
CNA Skills Needed :
- CNA must be knowledgeable on various lift equipment, assisting with daily activities (feeding, bathing, ambulating, toileting, weighing), able to measure / document I / O, assist with admissions / transfers, collection of specimens (stool, urine), care for IV & Catheters, ADLs, EKG monitoring, vital signs, and proficient in patient charting
- Capable of taking blood sugar checks, maintaining skin integrity (turning patients), putting patients on telemonitor, alerting staff for any changes in patient acuity Benefits :
