POSITION SUMMARY
Performs echocardiograms including but not limited to M-Mode, 2-Dimensional, conventional and / or color flow Doppler and TEE
Echocardiogram. Performs pediatric Echocardiogram. Provides electrocardiograms, 24-hour Holter monitor hook-ups, infant hearing
screens and stress testing. Provides procedures for patients from newborn to maturity. Completes established competencies for the
position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM EDUCATION : Graduate of an accredited CAAHEP or diagnostic medical sonography school, or at
least 6 months of clinical experience.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE : 6 months performing Echocardiograms.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE : 1 year performing Echocardiogram
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSURE : Must have CCI, ARDMS, RDCS, or RCS. If a new graduate, the
registration is required within one year from hire date or transfer into position.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSURE : NA
REQUIRED COURSES / COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR) : Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life
Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of
hire.
