Stack Sports’ platform engineering team is responsible for the connective tissue of the Stack Sports ecosystem. Core pillars like identity, e-commerce, and a growing suite of sports-focused services empower other product teams in Stack Sports by minimizing time spent on redundant functionality and maximizing effort towards being awesome and innovative.
The platform product manager position is responsible for partnering with engineering and QA leads to own every aspect of the platform portfolio.
Concept prioritization, service definition, API design / documentation, adoption advocacy, integrator support, and measuring service effectiveness are all included.
You will interact with nearly every product team in Stack Sports and drive value in a full spectrum of functional categories, business units, and products (internal and external).
Responsibilities
- Own and execute the roadmap for your products. Be able to communicate the business value and technical rationale behind your decisions.
- Listen. Always know what integrators like and dislike about using a service.
- Measure. Partner with your team and data engineering to continuously improve our quantitative understanding of our services.
- Advocate. Ensure internal and external integrators are aware of the services available and why they should consume and contribute to them.
- Ruthlessly Prioritize. Your team will have no shortage of good ideas. Help surface and prioritize the most impactful initiatives while respectfully deflecting requests that fracture focus.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of product management experience, preferably in a more technical environment.
- You have interacted with APIs - whether for fun or professionally. You are someone who can contribute to technical conversations and advocate / support engineering-focused users.
- You can hustle. In situations where more is unknown than known, you use creativity and elbow grease to unblock yourself or others.
- Experience with Agile Scrum Methodology
