What You Need to Know

Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, you would be responsible for the timely placement, management, and delivery of Purchase Orders into Proserv.

This includes, but not limited to, vendor selection, management of vendor base, and expediting.

Key Accountabilities (includes, but not limited to the following)

• Responsible for the timely placement, management, and delivery of Purchase Orders into Proserv. This includes but not limited to vendor selection, management of vendor base, and expediting.
• Manage RFQ demands by submitting price requests to appropriate suppliers.
• Vendor Selection and management.
• Timely creation and placement of Purchase Orders.
• Maintain an auditable trail for each Purchase Order.
• Expedite suppliers to maximize on time delivery.
• Key Involvement and management of NCRs that are related to Purchase Orders.
• Interface and support internal customers / departments.
• Participate in Supply Chain initiatives.
• Execute as per Supply Chain Strategy.
• Support longer term strategies such as supplier KPIs, Commodity classifications, Quality Codes and enhancement of current procedures flowing into Procurement and Supply Chain.
• Maintain the ability to remain efficient in a growing and ever-changing business.
• Commercial Awareness- decision making, effective negotiation, understanding of business objectives.
• Initiative Strategic thinking and problem solving

Qualifications

Education

Essential

Associate degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or a related field, or equivalent years experience.

Skills & Experience

Essential

• Three (3) plus years Buyer / Purchasing experience in a Manufacturing environment.
• At least three (3) years Buying experience for engineered equipment or component parts.
• Decision making, effective negotiation, understanding of business objectives skills.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong administration skills.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English.

Preferred

• Experience purchasing subsea equipment and component material.
• Knowledge of Machining and Fabrication Suppliers preferred.
