Temporary Litigation Paralegal
Our client in the legal field is seeking a temporary Litigation Paralegal to join their team in NYC!
- Hours : hours 9 : 30AM 6 : 00PM ; 1 hour for lunch
- Pay : Dependent upon experience, $30 per hour + OT
- Hybrid Schedule : 3 days / week, remotely 2 days (typical onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday but every 3rd Friday rotation)
- Dress code : business casual (comfortable ok but still professional)
- Interview : 2 step process
- Start : ASAP
Responsibilities :
- Open because things picked up quite a bit in litigation
- Fast-paced environment but Akin nice place to work; partners nice to work with etc; positive environment
- Temp with possibility of perm : At least 6 months assignment; hoping to have headcount down the line
- Need a paralegal who knows how to cite-check / blue book and e-file in local state and federal courts.
- E-filing : will be handling reqs for e-filing help; NY paralegals will file across the country (exp not necessary)
- Binder prep big part of the job (e-binder or paper)
Required Qualifications :
- Cite checking and blue booking is crucial
- Also must have experience with reqs for E-filing help; NY paralegals need to file across the country (no need for specific exp within state / jurisdiction, just experience in general)
- Must be able to do document and binder prep and printing
- Binder prep- E-binders or paper ; indexes, table of contents, put together, work with mail room printout; get to where needs to go, etc.
- Must be organized
- Personable
