The Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU) is a 32 bed adult inpatient surgical unit. The unit offers 3 levels of care : floor, telemetry, and intermediate care for acute cardiac, vascular, and other surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring.
Care and services provided : coronary artery bypass, Heartmate II or III & Heartware mechanical circulatory support devices, valve replacement or repairs, Type A & B aortic dissections, fem-pop bypass, scalenectomy, TAVR, heart or lung transplantation.
During the week there is an experienced resource nurse available to assist with admissions / discharges, transport monitoring, and emergencies.
Registered Nurses (RNs) will participate in a full orientation including core department of surgery and critical care classes.

Qualifications : Associate degree from Accredited Nursing Program required. BSN / MSN matriculation required within 1 year of hire and completion of degree within 5 years of hire.
