Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Neurosurgery - Weekends (Methodist Hospital)

Overview

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our collaborative and supportive Neurosurgery team at Methodist Hospital!

Position Details :

• Full-time, Weekend Day Shift 3x12s (6am-6 : 30pm) Every Saturday and Sunday plus one weekday shift per week
• No call
• 100% inpatient
• Team includes 13 physicians and 15 APPs
• Inpatient Neurotrauma, neurovascular, and neurosurgical patients (i.e. stenosis, stroke, brain and spinal cord tumors, brain surgery, ICU)

Key Responsibilities :

• See neurosurgery consults
• Patient care coordination
• Ordering diagnostic imaging and labs
• Perform complete neurological exams
• Interpret data and imaging results
• Assist in developing the plan of care for patients

Qualifications :

• ACNP, AGNP, FNP or PA certification required
• APP Experience in neurosurgery and / or ICU preferred
• If new graduate, clinical rotation and / or clinical rotations in neurosurgery, trauma, or ICU is required
• General knowledge of neurological deficits and disordered highly preferred

Facility Description
