Radiation Therapist| Oncology

Responsibilities
- Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by the radiation oncologist
- Verify patient identification and treatment details to ensure accuracy
- Position patients for treatment using immobilization devices and other equipment
- Operate radiation therapy machines and monitor patients during treatment
- Maintain accurate and detailed treatment records
- Collaborate with the radiation oncologist and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective treatment planning and delivery
- Educate patients and their families about the radiation therapy process and potential side effects
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines for radiation therapy
- Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the highest level of patient care
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in radiation therapy or a related field
- Valid and unrestricted certification as a Radiation Therapist from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- State licensure as a Radiation Therapist
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in radiation therapy, preferably in an oncology setting
- Thorough knowledge of radiation therapy procedures and equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
- Commitment to patient safety and delivering compassionate care

Pay Rate : $2,400-$2,600

Length of Assignment : 14Weeks
Hours per Week : 40 hrs
Shift time : either 10a-630p 5 days / week or 8a-630p 4days / week
Schedule Details : Monday - Friday

Weekend Requirement : None
Holiday Requirement : Holidays not required : In the event of a holiday falling on a scheduled workday, subsequent pay periods will be reduced by holiday pay hours.

License / Certification : ARRT, radiation therapy, KS license, BLS Experience required : 2 years IBA / Proteus one preferred
