as it relates to qualifications described on job postings.Qualifications : Valid Washington State Educational Staff Associate certificate for the role of Speech Language PathologistHold a Washington State license and has a current NPI number (not required until clinical fellowship year is completed)Master's degree in Speech Pathology and / or Audiology from an accredited institution of higher learningMust provide own transportationMust possess a valid driver's licenseCertificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), preferredKnowledge, willingness to learn, or experience working with Limited English Proficient students, preferredKnowledge and understanding of the impact of second language development on the evaluation processEnergy and enthusiasm in working with handicapped studentsKnowledge in, or willingness to learn, computerized instructional technologyAbility to relay humor and positive regard to students and colleaguesAbility to work cooperatively with students and their parents who are culturally, racially, and linguistically diverseAdvanced ability to use technology as an effective communication, planning, and instructional toolWillingness to participate in professional development courses aligned with the school and district initiativesEssential Functions : Provides diagnostic audiology services as applicableProvides speech and language testing and evaluations of students referred to the speech-language pathologistProvides habilitative or rehabilitative services for those students identified as having speech, language, or hearing problemsProvides consultative services to appropriate personnel (i.

e. teachers, administrators, parents, etc)Maintains ongoing records for each individual case (speech, language, hearing)Initiates and updates short-term and long-term goals for each case annually on an individual education program form, with signed parent approvalProvides assistance for training of other personnel (i.

e. practicum students, student teachers, helpers, etc.)Provides input in regard to developing and conducting research in speech and hearing and pupil services departmentMaintains legal timelinesWrites clear and concise reports and IEPs following state and district requirementsPerforms work with developed organization and time management skills for managing documents and participation in evaluations, treatments and meetings for multiple school buildings, including maintenance of filesMaintains state licensure which allows billing of servicesActively engage students in using technology in individual and collaborative learning activitiesWorks in a flexible and cooperative mannerTreats co-workers, supervisors, students, parents and others with dignity and respect at all timesServes as a positive role model for students, and practices the behaviors that are expected of our studentsMaintains regular and punctual attendance and hours of operation as set by the assigned building / location and the Comprehensive Professional Agreement to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position to achieve program requirementsOther duties as assignedSuch alternatives to the above requirements and desirable qualifications may be made as the district finds appropriate and acceptable.

Benefits / Compensation : Salary range : $62,925 - $118,608 (includes Base & TRI enrichment; commensurate upon FTE, degree, credits and experience).

Salary schedules can be accessed here () .Additional Compensation : Certificated positions may have additional pay provisions above what is represented on the salary range such as, but not limited to TRI professional learning, extended year days, extra appendix E supplemental days and professional development reimbursement.
