Description
The Advanced Practice Nurse / Nurse Practitioner reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organizations Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
The Advanced Practice Nurse / Nurse Practitioner (APN / NP) works within the guidelines of a collaborative practice agreement with an active member of the medical staff of Central DuPage Hospital.
In partnership with physicians and other health care team members, the APN / NP assesses, plans, implements, coordinates, and evaluates care for a specific patient population based on individual scope of practice.
Through the application of evidenced-based decision making, the APN / NP serves as a leader, educator, researcher and clinical mentor to all members of the health care team with the goal of achieving optimal patient outcomes.
The APN / NP practices utilizing the scope and standards of practice for the advanced practice nurse as published by the American Nurses' Association.

Qualifications
Required :
- 5+ years experience in area of specialty
- Current Collaborative Practice Agreement with an active member of the medical staff at Central DuPage Hospital
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
- Master's degree in Nursing
- RN License
- APN License
- APN certification
- BLS certification
