In this role as a Sr Network Development Engineer, you will be part of the lab technical team designing and building the network that enables Kuiper.

Define the long term vision, design the technical solutions, and implement the design. This role is focused on our terrestrial network.

Export Control Requirement : Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.

S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Key job responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers and leaders across the org to define connectivity solutions for Kuiper.
  • Provide technical leadership for Kuiper's terrestrial network plan and implementation for sites around the world.
  • Define network solutions for Kuiper's launch, manufacturing, and lab sites.
  • Support and champion the full lifecycle of networking, including enabling improved support tooling and monitoring capabilities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and / or Perl experience
  • 8+ years of major internet routing protocols experience
  • 5+ years of working in a Linux / Unix environment experience
  • 5+ years of working with Cisco and / or Juniper network gear

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years building networking solutions for global deployments
  • Experience with AWS and AWS networking products such as Direct Connect and Transit Gateway

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $143,200 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $247,600 / year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
