Purpose : Load, unload and deliver petroleum products to our customer in a safe, efficient and professional manner. Drive to destination in accordance with all federal, state and local regulations and company policies / procedures, normally in periods up to eleven (11) hours driving.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Accurately complete required documentation either manually or with the use of technology ensuring delivery to the appropriate destinations and / or maintenance for the appropriate time required by law.
- Accurately complete Pre-Trip and Post-Trip requirements.
- Ability to maintain loading cards and credentials at all loading terminals.
- Load, transport and unload petroleum products safely ensuring accurate and timely product delivery to customer.
- Maintain flexibility to work various shifts to ensure business needs are met.
- Maintain Hours of Service requirements / medical certification in accordance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations.
- The ability to operate in a constant state of alertness, and safe manner.
- The ability to maintain all required certifications required by D.O.T and OSHA and company safety programs.
- Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.
Qualifications and Requirements :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
The employee must frequently lift and / or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, central vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- This position is performed in outside weather conditions that may include extreme heat and cold.
- Travel is primarily local although some out of the area and overnight travel may be expected.
- High School Diploma / GED
- Minimum Age 23 Years.
- 2 years of tanker experience or 5 years of driving experience of CMV with GVWR of 26,001 lbs. or more.
- Clear MVR record.
- No more than 2 moving violations in the previous 3 years in personal car or CMV.
- No reckless operation; DUI, DWI, Convictions.
- No failed D.O.T drug and alcohol test.
- Ability to pass all Pre-Employment screenings (Drug and Alcohol, Physical, Essential Functions Exam).
- CDL A with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements.
- Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWC) required at some terminal locations.
