Jr Structural Engineer (Atlanta)

Location : HYBRID Atlanta, GA

Job Duties :

Responsible for performing structural engineering tasks for industrial facilities, evaluating, selecting, and applying structural engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria for projects and proposals involving conventional plans, investigations, surveys, structures, cranes, or foundations, and following instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions.

Specific duties include :

(1) preparing calculations and designing steel structures or foundations, including material selection, bolts, sizes, and welding solutions;

(2) producing, reading, and interpreting reports, calculations, technical drawings, and analysis of industrial structures, equipment foundation, or small industrial buildings;

(3) reviewing and updating general plant structural design drawings;

(4) coordinating 3D modeling;

(5) participating in weekly client meetings to track schedule, identify problems, communicate design decisions, and request information; and

(6) onsite verification of construction executed by contractor, including quality control, problem solving, and schedule follow up.

Minimum Requirements :

B.S. in Structural Engineering; six months of structural engineering experience, including steel structure, foundation, and crane design; knowledge of AutoCAD.
