Our client is hiring a Software Engineer to develop cutting-edge software solutions for composite structures and additive manufacturing technologies such as Automated Fiber Placement (AFP) and large-scale 3D printing . This is a unique opportunity to combine software engineering, automation, and advanced manufacturing in a rapidly growing industry.

Key Responsibilities

Design, analyze, program, debug, and enhance software for composite applications
Prepare design specifications and technical recommendations
Support integration of composite manufacturing processes
Provide customer support during software deployment & maintenance
Ensure products meet quality, safety, and performance standards

What We're Looking For

Qualifications :

Proficiency in C++ programming for Microsoft Windows applications.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Solid understanding of vectors, 3D geometry, and coordinate transformations.

Ability to learn and work within a complex hardware and software infrastructure.

Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Recent experience in academic or industry software development.

Education Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, OR BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with relevant software development experience.

Preferred Skills : Visual Studio, Qt, SQL, TensorFlow, 3D graphics programming, inverse kinematics, image processing, and multi-threaded programming, Background in Manufacturing, Industrial Machinery, or Software Application support.

Location : Rockford, IL

Compensation : $80,000 - $140,000 (based on experience)

Employment Type : Full-time, salary
