Atlantic Plywood is looking for a full-time Warehouse Associate to join our team!
The Warehouse Associate will operate a forklift in our distribution center and pick orders using a voice-picking system.
They will also assist with shipping and receiving, loading and unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, as well as other duties.
Starting pay : $20 / hour - plenty of OT!
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
- Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
- Complete daily logs into the inventory system
- Report any discrepancies
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
- Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Follow quality control standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
Job Requirements :
- Authorization to work in the US
- High school diploma / GED
- Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. Certified sit-down forklifts are required.
- Basic computer skills and not afraid of heights
- Good understanding of safety procedures and use of personal protection equipment (PPE)
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to work unsupervised as well as in a team
- Must have a pre-employment physical, drug test, and background check upon hire
Preferred Qualifications :
- Proven working experience as a warehouse worker
- Proven working experience with forklifts (previous certification is a plus)
- Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
- Knowledge of Lumber, Plywood, and Laminates
