Responsibilities :

  • Assessment and Evaluation : Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine patients' functional abilities, limitations, and goals.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessments and goals, utilizing various therapeutic techniques and modalities.
  • Implement and administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other interventions to improve patients' mobility, strength, flexibility, and function based on each individual patients need.
  • Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families about therapy procedures, home exercises, and injury prevention techniques.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Stay updated on advancements in physical therapy techniques, technologies, and best practices, integrating them into clinical practice as appropriate.
  • Expected to meet the needs of having patient execute Plan of Care including but not limited to following up with patients if non compliance occurs.
  • Be a team player to utilize non clinical staff to support needs of the caseload
  • Proper delegation and use of PTA when applicable.
  • Be an active participant in helping to drive a collaborative culture based on our service vision
  • Ability to adapt to change in patient schedules and daily patterns.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Essential Job Functions :

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments to determine therapy needs and establish treatment goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' specific conditions and functional limitations.
  • Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities effectively to promote recovery and improve patients' physical well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, providing education and support throughout the rehabilitation process.
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.

Qualifications :

  • Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • CPR certification and any other relevant certifications as required by state regulations.
  • Strong clinical skills with experience in orthopedic, neurological, or geriatric physical therapy (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficient computer skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes.

Physical Requirements :

  • Mobility : Ability to move around freely to assist patients and therapists.
  • Lifting : Capable of lifting and carrying equipment or assisting patients as needed (up to 50 pounds).
  • Standing : Extended periods of standing and walking during therapy sessions.
  • Manual Dexterity : Proficiency in handling therapy tools and equipment.
  • Visual and Auditory Skills : Ability to observe patients and communicate effectively.
  • Flexibility : Adaptability to changing tasks and schedules in a dynamic healthcare environment.
