Background / Need :
The solutions include intranet and collaboration tools, document management systems (such as SharePoint), and web application development.
ECWS supports the external website, Atlassian tools (Confluence and Jira), eForms, and enterprise search. The team also enables others to create Drupal websites, designs user experiences, and develops websites both internally and externally (for conferences).
ECWS provides application integration with web services for many existing and new business applications. Additionally, ECWS integrates new technology capabilities, enabling Laboratory personnel to be more effective and efficient.
Responsibilities :
- Configure, deploy, and maintain infrastructure supporting Group's digital asset management system (DAMS).
- Configure and customize DAMS to meet institutional and stakeholder needs.
- Stay up-to-date on organizational procedures / requirements and their impact on the DAMS
- Continuously monitor the health and integrity of DAMS, performing regular audits and making recommendations for improvements.
- Provide responsive administrative support, including general use questions as well as help with troubleshooting application and infrastructure issues.
- Partner with other key stakeholders such as the DAMS Core Team to maintain, assess, and adjust standards and protocols as necessary for asset ingest, rights management, and metadata entry.
- Partner with other key stakeholders such as the DAMS Core Team to oversee DAMS user accounts, permissions, and security.
Implement security protocols to protect sensitive and proprietary assets, and manage access controls for internal users.
- Track statistics around DAMS usage / performance and provide reports to key stakeholders.
- Contribute to projects in support of systems development, such as metadata cleanup, duplicate assets remediation, and possible future integration of the DAMS with other internal systems.
- Work closely with Group's technical teams and vendors for system issue escalation and decision-making on functionality enhancements or policy / process modifications.
- Promote communication and collaboration amongst stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of cloud technologies such as Azure and / or AWS
- Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of experience OR a Master's Degree and 4+ years of experience
Must Have :
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components such as servers, databases, networks, and security protocols.
- Skills in monitoring system performance, identifying issues, and troubleshooting application and infrastructure problems.
- Knowledge of backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and system availability.
- Understanding of databases and SQL queries for data manipulation and integration tasks.
- Ability to write scripts (e.g., PowerShell / bash) or knowledge of Python for automation of administrative tasks.
- Experience implementing SSO on an enterprise application.
- Experience in remediating vulnerabilities on Enterprise applications and operating systems.
- Experience in managing, deploying and administrating applications in Azure Cloud.
Nice to Have :
- Understanding metadata operations and taxonomy models, as well as search.
- Strong background in digital asset management, including the application of metadata, taxonomy design, and metadata structure development.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and Change Management.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies such as GenAI.
Education & Experience : 6+ Years of relevant work experience.
Work Authorization : US Citizenship with Active Secret Clearance is required due to the nature of the work.
