Payroll Clerk - Kansas City, MO

This is a hybrid position working out of our Kansas City, MO Operations Center. The Payroll Clerk will be responsible for processing payroll checks for more than 3,000 employees, monthly union reporting, and providing exceptional customer service.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate weekly payroll processing for multi-state locations.
• Assist with monthly reconciliation and payment of union dues and fringes.
• Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering data.
• Prepare and verify all payroll withholding requirements including employee benefits and garnishments.
• Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring accuracy with all payroll transactions and making certain tight deadline constraints are met.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

• Two to five years of relevant work experience successfully supporting similar job responsibilities.
• Excellent communication skills written, verbal, interpersonal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task in fast paced environment.
• General knowledge of union reporting, garnishments, and unemployment processes.
• UKG Experience preferred.
• Strong data entry experience preferred (10 key.
• Experience processing payroll for a union / contractor facility preferred.
