Qualifications
- 5+ years experience as an established technical leader of infrastructure operations, network operations or systems operation teams for a mid to large business or corporation.
- Passion for being at the leading edge of technology with 5+ years of hands-on technical experience on an infrastructure team.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in an infrastructure engineering environment
- Demonstrated experience managing an inclusive team of high-performing engineers in multiple office locations.
- Experience in building, operating large scale web applications with millions of data points
- Understanding of both ITIL and Agile principles
Responsibilities
- Play a vital role in the infrastructure organization, as part of a team of leadership, responsible for the regular care and maintenance of Mailchimp’s technology infrastructure.
- Responsible for the operational needs and of all Mailchimp’s infrastructure, you will break down silos, foster collaboration cross functionally and ensure an end to end approach in both strategy and operational rigor.
Coach a team of infrastructure engineers to help define their career path through challenging growth opportunities.
Build and maintain strong relationships and alignment with partners across the business ( Product Development, Program Management, and Product Management).
Collaborate with Product Development teams to meet their needs while they are bringing customer driven software products to market that simplify and solve for the current customer needs while building for the future.
Technically deep-dive to problem solve with the infrastructure operations team
Lead operational excellence to deliver highly available, scalable infrastructure solutions with utmost attention to quality, security, and performance metrics.
