Responsibilities
The Director of Nursing will be responsible for :
- Overseeing the development of short- and long-term goals and objectives for the department in collaboration with members of the medical, administrative and patient services leadership
- Establishing integrated philosophies and practices and developing programs in support of the organization’s goals and objectives
- Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and standards for patient services and monitoring reporting units for compliance
- Selecting and developing effective leadership teams of clinical managers and professional staff
- Overseeing the departmental operating, capital and program budgets, ensuring compliance with budgetary guidelines. In addition, you will :
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications :
- Previous experience in an Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, and / or similar role
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- NYS Registered Nurse (RN)
- Strong background in a Psychiatric setting
Desired Skills :
- Master's Degree
