What We Need
2K is looking for a talented and passionate Art Director to join our in-house Creative Services team, focusing on a new AAA IP.
You will ensure that the marketing materials align with the game's vision, while also proposing creative and innovative ideas.
By working closely with artists and designers across production teams, you'll help refine concepts, maintain consistency, and elevate player experiences through compelling visuals.
Additionally, we’re seeking candidates who are passionate about games and gaming culture, with a strong knowledge of live service titles and a deep understanding of current gaming culture and fandom.
What You Will Do
Define the artistic style of the marketing campaign to amplify the game's artistic vision.
Propose graphic or visual concepts based on the strategic brief in the form of a synopsis, mood board or sketch.
Ensure that the artistic vision is communicated through the visual identity.
Create original concepts that support the game's positioning with the various project teams.
Follow up and validate the team's finished work so the elements produced are in line with the initial brief and the game's vision, and ensure that the quality is respected.
Work directly with 2K Senior Creative teams and artists.
Produce documents such as briefs, style guides, and toolkits.
Ensure product, technical, and factual accuracy, and cultural relevance.
Deliver work of a consistent creative quality level.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely delivery.
Work collaboratively with a global production team at 2K.
Keep own product and brand knowledge up to date.
Proactively contribute feedback and ideas for process improvements.
What Will Make You a Great Fit
8+ years of visual design, branding, or art direction experience (in the video game industry, a huge plus) or other relevant experience.
Highly proficient communication skills and capacity to act as an ambassador for Art in a small multi-disciplinary team.
Able to enforce the use of Style-guides, and drive the creation of new documentation needed in collaboration with the team.
An understanding of art fundamentals and artistic culture.
In-depth knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop (Unreal experience a plus).
A highly creative, collaborative, and innovative spirit.
Open-mindedness : you’re receptive to new ideas and fresh perspectives.
Understanding of what game competitors are doing specifically in the Live-service market a bonus.
A willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done!

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $127,000 and $187,960 per Year.
However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
