The Senior Director of Corporate Engagement Large Local Account (LLA) Sales will serve as a partnership development expert within Year Up’s Corporate Engagement function, which works to secure high quality, work-based experiences for all Year Up students and to develop partnerships with major corporations nationwide.

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Regional LLA Sales, this role will require an experienced and dynamic salesperson who will focus on working to expand and broaden our existing relationships and internship placements in the assigned geography.

The impact of your work will be measured by acquisition, growth, and retention of our LLA partners, those who are able to take 5+ Year Up interns per cycle in a given geography.

The Senior Director will work with corporations in need of entry-level talent to provide trained, high-potential young adults with high-quality internships, and will ensure a program of support and professional development for these young adults on their internships.

The ideal candidate should desire to leverage their demonstrated experience in sales, strategy, and for-profit sales practices within our mission-driven social enterprise.

In this role you will also help drive Year Up’s innovation agenda outcomes by positioning Grads of Life and YUPRO Placement offerings to your accounts.

In keeping with Year Up’s values, the Sr. Director will also have the opportunity to interact with students as coach, group facilitator, and advocate, participating in creating and sustaining a positive educational environment, with trust among students, program managers, and site leaders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

LLA Account Acquisition, Renewals, and Expansion

  • Manage a portfolio of target and existing LLA accounts and drive activity to achieve acquisition, renewal, and expansion of assigned accounts via top-down or middle-out sales.
  • Review personal pipeline monthly to understand expansion opportunities for assigned accounts.
  • Meet or exceed performance indicators : revenue retained or marginal revenue growth in assigned accounts; conversion percentage;

cross-selling of other Year Up offerings to accounts; internship placements; partner satisfaction; etc.

  • Regularly attend networking or industry events that help steward assigned accounts.
  • Create and share effective proposals featuring Year Up’s model and past successes for solving corporate entry-level talent needs with LLA Accounts across LLA team.
  • Oversee logistics related to client accounts and lead via influence with local colleagues to ensure we deliver on mutual beneficial account plans.
  • Ensure maintenance of accurate records of sales and prospecting activities in Salesforce.com.
  • Create a culture of high service, high support, high expectations in work with corporate partners.
  • Utilize Salesforce.com to maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities and work closely with colleagues in Revenue Operations group to leverage existing processes, analytics, and enablement tools to support outcomes in the field.

Site Team / Learning Community Member

  • Serve as a coach / mentor for a small number of current students.
  • Join and sometimes facilitate weekly group sessions with students.
  • Participate in staff meetings and trainings.

QUALIFICATIONS :

At least 10+ years of professional experience in strategic account management and / or sales to enterprise-level accounts (e.

g. sales, client service, development).

  • 7+ years of experience managing an array of executive relationships across major accounts.
  • Consultative sales approach and background in technology or technology-enabled solutions preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate leads, close business, and manage annual sales targets of $5M+.
  • Proven ability to influence, develop, manage, support and empower employees to achieve objectives within a team.
  • Documented strengths in meaningful relationship building, management, and growth to scale.
  • Demonstrated ability to set direction and manage complex teams, projects, and processes.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • A professional and resourceful style with the ability to work independently and as a team player, to take initiative, and to manage multiple tasks and projects at a time.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams, facilitate difficult conversations, and resolve issues.
  • Ability to lead, willingness to be led, and comfort with situational leadership.
  • Consummate networking skills with an ability to move comfortably and credibly in the community.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and development databases; Salesforce.com experience preferred.

Salary Range : $168,000 - $187,000

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS :

Year Up has established salary ranges for each of our sites, which allows us to pay employees competitively, equitably and consistently in different geographic markets.

For roles in which the location is listed as flexible, the range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.

Salary offers take into account a candidate’s skills, experience, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.

  • Benefits : Comprehensive healthcare options and dental coverage; 401(k) match for eligible participants.
  • Vacation : Earn three weeks paid vacation in first year of employment; four weeks after initial year.
  • Professional Development : Funds available to support staff in achieving career objectives ($2,500 per year).

This is an exempt role (paid on a salaried basis).
