ESE Florida Teaching Certificate required
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Serves as a substitute teacher for assigned campus and class(es).
- Follows classroom systems / procedures established by Administration and classroom teacher and manages student behavior in alignment with school wide practices to ensure all students are fully engaged in learning.
- Collaborates with grade level or subject area teachers to create weekly lesson plans.
- Differentiates lesson plans for a variety of learners (kinesthetic, gifted students, English Language Learners, and / or students with IEPs, etc.)
- Implements feedback from administrator regarding lesson plans and / or execution.
- Establishes and maintains a positive classroom environment.
- Supports instruction with school-wide supplemental and intervention programs.
- Maintains grade books and meets reporting deadlines.
- Communicates with families regarding student academics and behavior.
- Demonstrates genuine care for all students.
- Actively participates in professional development sessions.
- Communicates professionally with peers, supervisors, parents, and students.
- Follows daily student attendance procedures.
- Enthusiastically participates in campus and school-wide events.
- Attends student Individualized Education Plan meetings, 504 meetings, etc., as required.
- Uses formal and informal assessment strategies to maximize student achievement and modify instructional strategies as needed.
- Collects and utilizes data for continual improvement.
- Maintains accurate records as required by law and administrative regulation.
- Maintains compliance of required educational plans.
- Adheres to requirements as outlined in the Faculty Handbook.
- Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
