Job Description :
This role is essential in enhancing the educational experience of students by conducting assessments, providing counseling, and collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals.
Responsibilities :
Conduct psychological assessments for students to determine eligibility for special education services.
Interpret assessment results to aid in instructional planning and interventions.
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
Provide individual and group counseling to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
Consult with teachers, parents, administrators, and external stakeholders to develop strategies for improving student outcomes.
Participate in team meetings, including 504 and IEP meetings, to discuss student progress and make recommendations for services and interventions.
Stay updated on school psychology best practices and legal requirements.
Conduct crisis intervention and provide support during emergencies.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and state regulations.
Qualifications :
Bachelors, Masters, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
Valid State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Psychologist.
Experience with psychoeducational assessments and working with children and adolescents in an educational setting.
Knowledge of special education laws, procedures, and behavioral intervention strategies.
Commitment to confidentiality, ethical guidelines, and strong organizational skills.
