Overview :

Utilizes the nursing process toprovide patient care. Maintains professional accountability forprovision of patient care for the assigned patients.

Evaluates theoverall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.

Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patientinformation. Performs duties and responsibilities in a mannerconsistent with our mission, values, and mercy servicestandards.

Qualifications :

• Education : Graduated from a school of nursing (associate degree, Diploma, orBSN).
• Licensure : Ispersonally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RNlicense within the hiring state and / or compact licensure in whichnursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board ofNursing requirements.
• Physical requirements / demands : Positionrequires individuals to push, pull, and / or lift 50 pounds on aregular basis- Position requires prolonged standing and walkingeach shift- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend,kneel, twist, and squat to performduties.
• Experience : 1year of RN experiencePreferred.
• Certifications : Basic Life Support certificationthrough the American Heart Association or successful completion ofcourse within 30 days ofhire.

One or more of thecertifications below may be required based on the position / unithired to, or acquisition of certification within departmentrequired timeframe :

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac LifeSupport)
• NRP (Neonatal ResuscitationProgram)
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing PediatricCourse)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing CoreCourse)
• CPHON (CertifiedPediatric / Hematology / Oncology Nurses)
• OCN (Oncology CertifiedNurse)
• BLS (Basic LifeSupport)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced LifeSupport)
• PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition andStabilization)
• T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway,Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And EmotionalSupport)
• Six Assessment & CareModules
• C-EFM (Fetal MonitorCertification)
• Other unit specific certifications asrequired.
