Summary : The Licensed Sales Assistant is accountable for providing support to the Senior Investment Advisor. This position is accountable for the coordination and assistance of all activities related to client service, processing of paperwork, coordination of business activities, and contribution to sales if appropriately licensed.
The Licensed Sales Assistant will be trained and mentored to successfully transition into an Investment Advisor role within a 2-year timeframe.
Essential Duties :
- Perform client service-related tasks to include, but not limited to, new account set-up, closing accounts, deposits / disbursements, account status changes, and placing account notes in RedTail, and ensuring all actions taken are in accordance with firm and regulatory guidelines.
- Support the Senior Investment Advisor by preparing correspondence, preparing, and reviewing daily reports, executing daily tasks and notifications, scanning, and organizing documents, scheduling client meetings and calendar events.
- Help manage appointment scheduling for clients with the Senior Investment Advisor. Assist with pre-appointment preparation and post-appointment follow-up and processing.
- Provide proactive outreach to clients to ensure all needs are met and to request additional information when needed. Handle routine client account activity and address client requests via phone and email.
- Aid in marketing campaigns as needed. Write and distribute emails, letters, cards, documents, etc. as requested.
- These duties are not all encompassing must be comfortable with taking on additional duties / tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Tech-savvy and comfortable with technology that is always evolving.
- Proficient in the entire Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong team focus and the ability to work well with others.
- High attention to detail able to proofread and verify written materials.
- Well-organized with strong time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and consistently.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Licensed in FINRA Series 7 and 66, Indiana Life and Health. If successful candidate is not already licensed, they must commit to becoming licensed within the first 6 months within this role.
- 2+ years experience working in financial services is preferred.
- Successful candidate will have the personal desire, drive, and commitment to become an Investment Advisor within 2 years of moving into this role.
- This is a full-time position based out of our Valparaiso Downtown office. Department hours are Monday-Friday from 8 : 00-5 : 00.
