About The Position

Job Title : Surgical Technologist Job Specialty : OR Tech CST Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 10H Day, Evening 10 : 30 AM - 9 : 00 PM, Monday-Thursday Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years License : License submission required Certifications : BLS required, CST preferred Must-Have : - Neuro and Ortho experience due to a significant number of related cases - Robotics experience Job Description : - Pre-screening and manager interview required - Must have proficiency in all areas including Ortho, Neuro, GYN, Eyes, ENT, and Robotics - Department facilities include 12 suites - Common cases : - General Surgery : Bowel, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, gastrectomy, hernia surgeries, organ procurements, splenectomies, thyroid surgeries, tracheostomies, I&Ds - Laparoscopic Procedures : Cholecystectomy, appendectomy, hysterectomy, hernia repairs, colon surgeries - GYN : C-sections, hysterectomies (abdominal / vaginal), laser surgeries, salpingo-oophorectomy, tubal ligations - GU / Cysto : Circumcisions, cystoscopies, hypospadias repairs, lithotripsy, nephrectomy, orchiectomy, penile implants, prostate surgeries - Orthopedics : Scopes, external fixation, joint replacements, ORIFs of various bones - Neurosurgery : ACDF, burr holes, craniotomy, tumor resections, laminectomies, shunts, EVD - Plastics : Trauma plastics, facial fractures, skin grafts and flaps - Eye : Enucleation, vitrectomy, repair of globe ruptures - ENT : Ethmoidectomy, sinus surgeries, laryngectomy, tonsil / adenoid surgeries, myringotomy - Thoracic : Hiatal hernia repairs, lobectomy, thoracotomy, lung wedge resection - Endoscopy : Bronchoscopy, EGD, colonoscopy - Must be able to handle emergency pediatric cases - Utilizes advanced technology like Da Vinci Robot, Stealth, O-arm, and Holmium lasers - Shift and scheduling include 8 and 12-hour shifts from 6 : 30 AM to 3 : 00 PM or 6 : 30 AM to 7 : 00 PM - Call requirements : 4-hour on-call after one shift per week, weekend call approximately every 5 weeks - No floating outside of the operating room - Green scrubs provided Additional Information : - Up to 3 cancellations allowed per 13-week contract - Utilizes EPIC charting system - Trauma Level 1 care setting - RTO needed upfront;

additional time off will not be approved after submission - Must adhere to all hospital and department policies and procedures
