Repair and maintain medical laboratory equipment, including hematology, chemistry, coagulation, and more, for a leading manufacturer of medical laboratory analyzers.
Field Service experience in the Medical Device industry is preferred. You will be responsible for servicing automated robotic lab instrumentation in the greater Birmingham, AL area.
Candidates should have a solid background in electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting. Relocation not available.
Applicants must reside within a 30-minute commute of the greater Birmingham area. Two Positions : One offers a Monday through Friday, 8 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM schedule with overtime The other offers a Tuesday through Saturday, 8 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM schedule with overtime Qualifications :
- A Certificate or AAS Degree in electronics or a related discipline is preferred.
- Strong experience with electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
- Occasional overnight travel may be necessary.
- At least 3 years of experience as a field service engineer.
- Experience in servicing medical lab analyzers or other medical instrumentation would be advantageous.

Responsibilities :
- Install, service, and perform preventive maintenance on the instrumentation.
- Establish and maintain strong customer relations.
- Collaborate with the Field Support Group to resolve issues.
- Manage car inventory, including tools and trunk stock (parts).
- Provide basic on-site training on the operation of company instrumentation.
