Essential Functions :

The Clinical Training Specialist at our mental health agency plays a crucial role in developing and implementing training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our clinical staff.

This position is designed to ensure that our team members are well-equipped to provide high-quality mental health services.

The idea candidate will be passionate about mental health and possess the skills to educate and train individuals on various aspects of mental well-being.

Below is a detailed job description for the Clinical Training Specialist role : Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : The Clinical Training Specialist must have the following experience, knowledge, or

abilities :

• Develop and implement training programs that address the specific needs of diverse audiences.
• Stay updated with the latest research, trends, and best practices in mental health to ensure training content is current and relevant.
• Provide support and guidance to participants during and after training sessions, fostering a safe space for open discussion and continued learning
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals to create comprehensive and effective training materials.
• Customize training programs based on the unique requirements and goals of different organizations or groups.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and measurable outcomes.
• Maintain standards for provision of CEU in coordination with Social Work and Professional Counselor licensing boards for the state of MD (and other states as applicable)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience as a mental health professional or trainer, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role
• Active license in the state of Maryland (LCSW-C, LCPC).
• Strong understanding of various mental health disorders, treatments, and interventions
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design
• Certification in mental health training or related areas is a plus.
