Principal Software Engineer

Position Description : Principal Software Developer - Laurel, MD - $150,000 -$180,000.

ZTI Solutions is seeking a Principal Software Developer in Laurel, MD. The ideal candidate will be an expert in the design, development, and implementation of programs and applications.

Possessing a strong Software Development background is essential. The ideal candidate has a proven ability to work and communicate in a team environment while navigating complex technologies and concepts.

Responsibilities of a Principal Software Developer include, but are not limited to :

• Design, develop, test and implement new engagement optimization algorithms and for cross-platform applications for multiple environments.
• Provide expert-level application development and code review support for everything from small scripts to perform analysis up to large scale, system-of-systems modeling frameworks and everything in between.
• Perform security assessments of Commercial and Government software, and custom-developed applications using security tools and custom-developed scripts for DoD approved unclassified projects.
• Collaborate with the security and development teams to architect security solutions for various types of on-premises and cloud-based systems and applications.
• Be part of a highly collaborative team, make critical contributions to challenging problems, and participate in design discussions and software implementation.

Requirements :

• U.S. Citizen
• Secret Clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Experience writing Object Oriented Software in a high-level language (C++, Java, Python).
• Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
• Knowledge of system frameworks including .NET, Git, AngluarJS, and GitHub.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience creating and maintaining databases.
• Experience working with Agile development technologies.
