Job Title : Occupational Therapist (OT)
Location : San Ramon, CA
Position Overview : We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year in San Ramon, CA.
The OT will play a pivotal role in providing essential occupational therapy services to students, ensuring they receive the support necessary to achieve independence and success in their academic and daily living skills.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing abilities, visual motor integration, and activities of daily living.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and student goals, focusing on enhancing functional abilities and promoting independence.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual or group settings, utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic interventions.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' educational goals and social-emotional development.
- Participate actively in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), contributing expertise to establish educational goals and accommodations.
- Monitor student progress, adjust intervention strategies as needed, and maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and outcomes.
- Stay current with advancements and best practices in occupational therapy through professional development activities.
Qualifications :
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in California.
- Experience in a school-based setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
