AWS is seeking a part-time or full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Behavioral Health Home (BHH) team. This role is designed with flexibility in mind, offering an excellent opportunity for those seeking part-time work or a better work-life balance compared to the demanding hours often required in hospital settings.
Flexible hours are available from 24 to 40 hours a week, and you can even set your own schedule, making it a great job for a working parent.
The work must take place during normal business hours on weekdays.

You'll work closely with our BHH team, playing a central role in developing and implementing a comprehensive care model for all clients, particularly those with complex medical needs or transitioning from hospital settings.
Lead with Expertise, Ensure Quality : Your leadership skills will be on display as you conduct training sessions for the BHH team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Resource and Support for BHH Care Coordinators : Serve as the primary medical resource for BHH Care Coordinators and Clinical Coordinators.
- Consultative Client Support : Offer consultative support to clients post-discharge from hospitals, emergency rooms, or treatment facilities.
- Training and Certification Leadership : Lead training sessions on relevant health care topics and maintain certifications for specialized trainings (First Aid, CPR, medication administration).
- Operational Support, Safety Compliance, and HR Advisory : Advise AWS management on health and safety issues.
- Health Information and Data Analysis : Utilize electronic health records to track client progress and outcomes.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration : Work with a multidisciplinary team for comprehensive client care.
- Community Outreach and Advocacy : Engage in community outreach and advocate for client access to resources.
- Continuous Professional Development : Stay updated on mental health and nursing care trends.
- Emergency Response and Crisis Intervention : Provide immediate response in crisis situations and coordinate with emergency services.

Requirements :
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with an active Maine State License
- Exceptional self-direction, organizational skills, and communication abilities
- Ability to work autonomously, managing a diverse range of tasks efficiently
- Preferred experience with underserved, transient populations, and clinical comorbidities
- Successful completion of background checks and not listed on state or federal suspension and disbarment lists
- Valid Maine Driver's License and a good driving record
