About The Position
A correctional facility is seeking an internal medicine physician for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in State Farm, VA.
It is a 3-month assignment starting ASAP, with the possibility to extend. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.
m., with no call duties. The physician will see 18-20 adult patients per day, supported by RNs and LPNs. Required certifications include a Virginia license and DEA.
Credentialing takes about two weeks, and the EMR is paper-based, with Sapphire for prescriptions. The pay rate is $135 / hour.
