Howard County General Hospital is now and cares for a range of patients with severe health conditions. Our hospital has a highly specialized community-based Intensive Care Unit (ICU) dedicated to adult patients requiring intensive monitoring and care after surgery or due to medical conditions, including cardiac care.

As a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you will be privileged to care for critically ill patients with complex medical and surgical problems.

serves as the Nurse Manager, demonstrating a track record of effective leadership. Darlene began her career at Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2011, initially joining as an RN.

In a short span, she showcased her capabilities, earning promotions to Lead RN and Assistant Nurse Manager in 2019. Her journey continued when she later transferred to HCMC.

Darlene is not only a proficient leader but also a mentor who actively supports the professional growth of RNs. She oversees three vital units : ICU Special Care Unit, ICU, and Cath Lab.

Requirements :

• BSN Preferred.
• RNs without a BSN must enroll in a BSN program within 6 months and complete the degree within 4 years of their start date.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience preferred.
• Previous specialty clinical experience preferred for specialty units.

Licensure / Certification :

• Current Maryland RN license or licensure in a compact state that allows practice in Maryland.
• CPR required.
• ACLS required.
