Location : This position is located in Oldsmar, Florida and is on-site five days per week. Domestic travel, up to 5%, may be required.
Salary Range : $65,000-$85,000 / year commensurate with experience. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
Job Description :
The Inventory Manager / Vendor Supply Manager is responsible for implementing and monitoring a full inventory and planning program from internal and external manufacturers of multiple finished goods brands in the pet health space.
This person will serve as a subject matter expert and identify ways to optimize the supply chain to reduce waste and facilitate the company’s growth and will be the primary point of contact for supplier accounts.
The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, have a customer focused mindset, be ready to take ownership of multiple projects, prioritize multiple goals simultaneously, be analytical and able to derive actionable insights from data.
This position will be highly visible within the company and will require a high level of professionalism and objectivity.
Responsibilities :
- Identify, define, drive, and lead key actions to enhance the supply planning processes and ensure consistency of planning data across brands.
- Support and lead initiatives to continually improve processes, inventory levels, performance and to optimize operational costs through all stages of the supply chain process.
- Proactively define sales and inventory management opportunities which help to deliver on revenue and inventory targets for the business.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such as Finance, Commercial, Procurement and Customer Support Teams.
- Mapping out manufacturing timing and increasing transparency with key stakeholders.
- Lead meetings with cross functional groups across multiple areas.
- Create ad-hoc analysis to react to current and future business trends and present findings to senior management.
- Forecast appropriate inventory levels commensurate with sales forecasts and advise on manufacturing capacity needed.
- Manage supplier delivery issues and provide continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications :
- Ability to take ownership while working in a rapidly changing environment.
- Demonstrates strong listening and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Administration or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain / Inventory Analysis / Forecasting / Reporting.
- Wide knowledge of material management and manufacturing methods.
Supervision Requirements
- Up to one direct report at this time, may change in the future.
- Will report to the Director of Inventory Management & Planning.
