Description Acara Solutions is hiring a Field Service Engineer to work with our manufacturing client in Meridian, ID.Relocation assistance is provided for non-local candidates.
Job Summary : As a Field Service Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the optimal functioning of equipment in the field.
Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and repairing service issues, performing start-ups, providing customer training, and executing retrofits when necessary.
This role requires up to 75% travel, both domestically and internationally, often at short notice. Duties & Responsibilities :
- Travel domestically and internationally, with the ability to respond within 4 hours' notice.
- Listen to customer concerns and troubleshoot problems on manual tools.
- Perform field repairs on manual equipment.
- Provide customer training on equipment maintenance and operation.
- Interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and plumbing schematics.
- Conduct point-to-point wiring and soldering as per blueprints.
- Assemble electrical components neatly and label all wires appropriately.
- Identify and understand electrical relays, controllers, and switches.
- Assemble valves, fittings, and plumbing components leak-tight.
- Accurately record time and materials using Global Shop.
- Weld various plastics such as PVC-C, PVDF, and Halar
Job Requirements Job Requirements :
- Knowledge of electricity, NEC, fire codes, SEMI codes, fluid dynamics, and assembly techniques.
- Working knowledge of PLC programming using ladder logic.
- Skills in analyzing equipment malfunctions and problem-solving.
- Ability to read schematics and use power hand tools.
- High school graduate with AA technical degree preferred.
- Minimum Two years of experience in a similar position.
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment exposed to noise, dust, and fumes.
Experience :
- Programmable logic controllers : Minimum 1 year (Required)
- Mechanical knowledge : Minimum 1 year (Required)
Willingness to travel : 75% (Required)
