A health services network in California is currently seeking an experienced professional to join one of their clinics as their new Chief Medical Officer (CMO).
In this role, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) will be responsible for a mix of clinical and administrative functions (80% administrative; 20% clinical).
About the Opportunity :
- Schedule : Monday to Friday
- Hours : Standard business (40 hours a week)
- Specialty : Adult Psychiatry / Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Setting : Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
- Patient Population : All ages (outpatient only)
Responsibilities :
The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) will be responsible for :
- Develop and implement the network's medical policies, procedures, and programs to ensure quality and cost-effective healthcare
- Provide oversight of clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care across all departments
- Lead quality improvement initiatives, including patient safety programs, infection control, and clinical effectiveness
- Supervise and provide leadership to medical staff, including recruitment, credentialing, and performance evaluation
- Develop and implement patient care protocols and pathways to standardize and improve patient care
- Ensure the establishment and maintenance of patient safety standards and protocols to minimize medical errors and adverse events
- Oversee the budget for medical departments, ensuring financial sustainability and effective allocation of resources
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications :
- Licensed to practice in the State of California
- Board Eligible / Certified in Family and / or Internal Medicine
- DEA registration
- ACLS certification
