Business Development Manager- Permanent- San Diego
Proclinical is seeking a Business Development Manager with a focus on bioreactor technologies. This role is pivotal in driving our growth strategy within the biopharmaceutical sector.
Primary Responsibilities :
The successful candidate will identify, engage, and convert potential clients into long-term partners, leveraging their deep understanding of bioprocessing and bioreactor technologies to articulate the value of our solutions effectively.
Skills & Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Biology or related to Biological Life Sciences (advanced degree preferred).
- Proven track record in business development and sales within the biopharmaceutical or cell therapy industries, with specific experience in selling bioreactor systems.
- Strong understanding of bioprocessing technologies and industry standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory as required .
The Business Development Manager responsibilities will be :
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify key players, market trends, and potential opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategic business plans to penetrate target markets and achieve sales targets.
- Utilize CRM tools and sales analytics to track performance metrics and optimize sales processes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
- Understand client needs and challenges in order to position our bioreactor solutions as essential to their operational success.
- Generate leads through networking, cold calling, and attending industry conferences and events.
- Qualify leads and manage the sales process from initial contact through to closure.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes for both the client and our company.
- Serve as a technical expert on our bioreactor products, providing guidance and support to clients and internal teams.
- Collaborate with our engineering and product development teams to tailor solutions that meet client-specific requirements.
- Promote our brand and products through presentations, demonstrations, and participation in industry forums.
- Collaborate with marketing to generate collateral and sales tools to effectively communicate product features and benefits.
- Help in researching and developing VOC (Voice of the Customer) input for new products and services.
