Business Development Manager- Permanent- San Diego

Proclinical is seeking a Business Development Manager with a focus on bioreactor technologies. This role is pivotal in driving our growth strategy within the biopharmaceutical sector.

Primary Responsibilities :

The successful candidate will identify, engage, and convert potential clients into long-term partners, leveraging their deep understanding of bioprocessing and bioreactor technologies to articulate the value of our solutions effectively.

Skills & Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology or related to Biological Life Sciences (advanced degree preferred).
  • Proven track record in business development and sales within the biopharmaceutical or cell therapy industries, with specific experience in selling bioreactor systems.
  • Strong understanding of bioprocessing technologies and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory as required .

The Business Development Manager responsibilities will be :

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify key players, market trends, and potential opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to penetrate target markets and achieve sales targets.
  • Utilize CRM tools and sales analytics to track performance metrics and optimize sales processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
  • Understand client needs and challenges in order to position our bioreactor solutions as essential to their operational success.
  • Generate leads through networking, cold calling, and attending industry conferences and events.
  • Qualify leads and manage the sales process from initial contact through to closure.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes for both the client and our company.
  • Serve as a technical expert on our bioreactor products, providing guidance and support to clients and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with our engineering and product development teams to tailor solutions that meet client-specific requirements.
  • Promote our brand and products through presentations, demonstrations, and participation in industry forums.
  • Collaborate with marketing to generate collateral and sales tools to effectively communicate product features and benefits.
  • Help in researching and developing VOC (Voice of the Customer) input for new products and services.
