Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - NICU

Job Details : \n

  • Work day shifts from 6 : 45 AM to 7 : 15 PM

    • \n

  • 36 guaranteed hours per week

    • \n

  • Weekend hours required

    • \n

  • No call requirements

    • \n

  • Required certifications : BLS, NRP

    • \n

  • 2+ years level 3 or 4 NICU experience required

    • \n

  • STABLE certification preferred

    • \n

  • Black scrubs required

    • \n

  • May float to mother baby or pediatrics but unlikely due to high census

    • \n

  • Care for level 3 NICU infants including high frequency vents, conventional vents, CPAP, NIMV, HFNC

    • \n

  • Manage nitric oxide therapy and whole body cooling

    • \n

  • Handle OG / NG / PO feedings, UAC, UVC, PICC, and PIV procedures

    • \n

  • Attend high risk deliveries and all cesarean section deliveries

    • \n

  • Work with 25 bed unit plus overflow beds on pediatric floor

    • \n

  • Patient ratios depend on acuity : typically 3 feeders, 2 CPAP, 1 nitric, 1 cooling

    • \n

  • Use EPIC electronic medical record system
