Robert Half is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Garfield, New Jersey. This role involves managing financial records and transactions, accounts payable, account reconciliation, and payroll processing.

Responsibilities :

  • Oversee and manage accounts payable
  • Handle payroll and pension for employees and retirees
  • Utilize QuickBooks for entering payroll details and calculations
  • Collect and account for fines, damages, and copy machine usage fees
  • Perform bank account reconciliations for four different accounts
  • Prepare financial reports for board meetings
  • Work in collaboration with another team member for assistance
  • Ensure all tasks are completed by the last week of each month
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all transactions
  • Use skills in Microsoft Excel, data entry, month-end close procedures, and QuickBooks to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required
  • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary
  • Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) is needed
  • Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations is essential
  • Must possess Bookkeeping skills
  • Proficiency in Data Entry is required
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are necessary
  • Experience with Month End Close activities is desired
  • Must be capable of managing Payroll
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is a must
