Robert Half is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Garfield, New Jersey. This role involves managing financial records and transactions, accounts payable, account reconciliation, and payroll processing.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee and manage accounts payable
- Handle payroll and pension for employees and retirees
- Utilize QuickBooks for entering payroll details and calculations
- Collect and account for fines, damages, and copy machine usage fees
- Perform bank account reconciliations for four different accounts
- Prepare financial reports for board meetings
- Work in collaboration with another team member for assistance
- Ensure all tasks are completed by the last week of each month
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all transactions
- Use skills in Microsoft Excel, data entry, month-end close procedures, and QuickBooks to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required
- Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary
- Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) is needed
- Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations is essential
- Must possess Bookkeeping skills
- Proficiency in Data Entry is required
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are necessary
- Experience with Month End Close activities is desired
- Must be capable of managing Payroll
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is a must
