As we expand our soccer recruitment activity in the US, we have established partnerships with leading youth clubs and professional academies across the States, to provide hands-on support to players, families and clubs, on all matters relating to the college soccer pathway.

We seek energetic and passionate candidates to evaluate, assess, and interview talent at our partner clubs to identify and sign potential college prospects.

Roles are located within close proximity to the clubs and academies we support.

  • The Head of College Scouting will be the primary point of contact for players, families and club staff for all matters relating to the college pathway, soccer recruitment and admissions advice.
  • Assess and evaluate partner aspiring soccer players in-person, providing general guidance and advice for those seeking to explore collegiate soccer opportunities.
  • Interview aspiring college soccer players and their families to understand academic and playing aspirations, sharing insights and feedback on potential best fit’ options matching their academic and playing level.
  • Evaluate and support FirstPoint student-athletes and partner clubs at seasonal tournaments and events, such as MLS NEXT, ECNL, Girls Academy, EDP, USL Academy, et al.
  • Lead FirstPoint’s College Evaluation Trials’ planning, preparation, and implementation - within allocated scouting territory.
  • Lead the delivery of presentations to players and families both online and at partner club events to educate and inform of college soccer pathway / recruitment process.
  • Collaborate with Talent Management team to ensure best fit’ collegiate opportunities are being secured for FirstPoint student-athletes, matching their academic, athletic, and financial needs.
  • Support Director of Club Partnerships with the successful activation and integration of FirstPoint’s services at partner clubs within operational territory.
  • Contribute to the continued development and growth of our US soccer recruitment.
  • Increase the pipeline of soccer players as student-athlete candidates, ensuring KPIs are achieved.
  • Work with current and former soccer clients from partner clubs to generate positive testimonials and case studies.
  • Weekly and monthly reporting on KPIs and other performance metrics, highlighting successes, opportunities and challenges.
  • Support our wider Talent Management team with the transition of student-athlete clients into universities and college teams.
  • The Head of College Scouting will report into the Regional Director of Soccer.

Experience & Skills

  • Candidates will ideally have experience as an NCAA college coach (Head, Associate or Assistant) with a collegiate and / or professional playing background and expert knowledge of the college recruitment process.
  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills, with the ability to build and develop good relationships across their club network.
  • High level playing / coaching experience with good scouting and player analysis ability.
  • High attention to detail with good planning skills.
  • Self-starter, confident, positive and proactive.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, always-on environment.

THE PACKAGE

c. $60,000 - $80,000 (OTE $70,000 - $90,000), subject to experience. Including benefits.
