A Home Health Occupational Therapist, or Home Health OT, travels to a patient's home to administer services and help the individual maintain their independence while they safely heal at home.
What does a Home Health Occupational Therapist do?
A Home Health Occupational Therapist provides a thorough assessment of the patient's condition and environment and works with the individual and their caregivers to build a goals-focused treatment plan.
What are the qualifications for a Home Health Occupational Therapist?
- Florida Occupational Therapy License Required
- CPR Certification Preferred
- Ability to delegate care appropriately and supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants Preferred
Do you need home health care experience to be a Home Health Occupational Therapist?
Previous home health experience is not required. Ask us about our mentorship program, where you will gain experiential training under the supervision of an enthusiastic role model.
Do Home Health Occupational Therapists work alone?
Home Health Occupational Therapists are autonomous, but they are not alone. Along with exceptionally supportive clinical supervisors, Home Health Occupational Therapists are also a vital part of the collaborative clinical team.
