Position Summary :
Responsible for overseeing the entire product development process, from concept to production, with a focus on electro-mechanical product design, redesign, part assembly, and detailed part drawings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assist with design projects, including new product development and enhancements.
- Help create and distribute engineering documentation, such as Engineering Change Notices, bills of materials, and parts tracking.
- Work with cross-functional teams and support reporting project progress to senior management.
- Manage assigned tasks within multiple projects and assist in negotiating with internal and external stakeholders for cost-effective solutions.
- Learn from and support more experienced engineers.
- Participate in prototyping, testing, and sample assembly activities.
- Help organize and facilitate team meetings for major product deliveries.
- Contribute to the conceptualization of new products based on market requirements.
- Assist in developing and documenting testing plans, and coordinate prototypes and assembly with external vendors.
- Create and revise CAD drawings and models while focusing on design optimization.
Requirements :
- 2 years of experience in lighting product development.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electromechanical, or related analytical field.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Strong prioritization skills with a sense of urgency.
- Knowledge of Lean methodologies is a plus.
- Moderate understanding of electrical circuits, reliability, wiring, and control protocols.
