Quality Manager - Industrial Construction
We are adding a Quality Manager to support self-perform Industrial building construction projects around the United States. Our Quality Managers are boots on the ground in the field and work the duration of the project to ensure the construction is performed to the highest quality standards. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and management of a contract-specific Project Quality Plan (PQP) and all other quality related functions necessary to deliver the project fully compliant with the contract documents. The PQM is a member of the project management team, and therefore must be able to work with minimal supervision, interact professionally with the project team and client personnel, have excellent written / verbal communication and conflict resolution skills, manage a diversified workload and challenging situations efficiently and effectively, have a Continuous Improvement (CI) and Total Quality Management (TQM) mentality, and take the lead role in managing quality on the project.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a contract-specific Project Quality Plan (PQP) and review / approve subcontractor quality plans to ensure contractual compliance.
- Ensure quality staff is properly assigned, trained, and resourced to execute the PQP.
- Lead the implementation and oversight of a Quality Assurance Program in a construction environment, including issues management, nonconformance reporting, subcontractor oversight, internal assessments / audits, causal analysis, commercial grade dedication, inspections, procurement oversight, and commissioning / turnover.
- Mentor junior QA / QC personnel to develop correct behaviors and competencies.
- Maintain a positive, collaborative relationship with the Client team and reinforce a strong safety culture.
- Interpret quality standards and regulatory requirements and define implementation strategies.
- Collaborate with district quality management to ensure consistent company-wide practices.
- Coordinate and perform causal analysis investigations on project-related issues and conduct QA audits / assessments of the QMS, PQP, subcontractor quality plans, and related processes; document findings and implement corrective actions.
- Analyze findings to identify trends and risks; work with the project management team to develop mitigation strategies.
- Promote Continuous Improvement and ensure timely reporting of conditions affecting the project.
- Contribute to operation planning sessions from a Quality perspective and ensure Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) are developed for all operations.
- Ensure quality documentation for project turnover is complete, compliant, and organized.
- Lead meetings to discuss quality goals / objectives and promote quality improvements; perform regular performance reviews with quality staff.
- Review and approve subcontractor quality plans; oversee the quality program with senior support as needed.
Qualifications
Four-year degree in engineering, science, or technical field (preferred) with at least 8+ years of quality experience in EPC or industrial environments; or an associate degree with 8+ years of quality experience, including at least 5 years in EPC / industrial quality roles.If no degree, high school / GED with at least 12 years of related construction / engineering experience, including at least 10 years in a quality position.Strong knowledge and experience implementing a Quality Management System (QMS) for construction projects; experience with self-perform construction in industrial projects preferred.Self-starter with organizational, managerial, and leadership skills; able to manage teams of craft / quality personnel and coordinate resources.Excellent verbal and technical writing skills; ability to communicate with diverse groups including craft personnel, management, and client teams. ASQ CMQ / OE or similar certification recommended.Ability to access all points of a construction site in varying climates / environments.Working knowledge of construction codes, standards, and jurisdictional requirements (e.g., ACI, AWS, ASME, NEC, etc.).Other Requirements
