ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure delivery vehicle is in a safe operating condition by completing the pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily.
- Verify accuracy of all equipment picked up or delivered using PO and Job Number.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment in the cab as well as outside of vehicle, plus ensure gates and lift gate are secure to the vehicle;
wash vehicle as necessary.
- When not in use, all straps and blocking materials & tools are to be safely stowed in their proper place.
- Comply with all safe driving rules and traffic laws.
- Ensure that the materials on the truck are secure, properly strapped and blocked.
- Ensure that all paperwork is in vehicle when handling hazardous material.
- Performs material, tools and equipment pickup at suppliers for delivery to either the shop or jobsite.
- Ensure that all deliveries arrive in a timely manner.
- End of the day : make sure all delivery packaging is discarded in the proper container and all paperwork is turned in (pick / up delivery receipts, pre-post trip inspections).
- Wear complete DeBra-Kuempel uniform (PPE) with necessary badges or identification.
- Keep shop clean and organized.
- Notify proper staff of any vehicle maintenance issues.
- Assist with warehouse duties when needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Work hours : 7 : 00 a.m. 4 : 00 p.m. Monday Friday (additional hours when necessary).
- Hold a valid CDL A drivers license (Optional).
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Clean MVR.
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs.
- Team player
