Vya provides businesses with web-based marketing resources and creative production management services, email and social media marketing tools, and digital print and fulfillment services.

Job Summary :

The Sales Director works as a member of the sales team creating a collaborative environment with clients, prospects, direct personnel, and other Vya personnel.

This position requires strong sales leadership in mentoring the sales team, but also working in sales actively. This Director must be able to exhibit that they can close sales.

A self-motivated, self-starter with the ability to excel in instances of limited direction, bringing with them considerable experience to fill the role.

Key Performance Objectives :

Your success in this role will be measured against the following objectives :

60% - Executing operational and financial plans that achieve identified sales and consumer experience goals.

30% - Leading, developing, and coaching a team that is growth oriented, engaged, and connected.

10% - Clearly and regularly communicating with management, staff, and key internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient information flow and positive relationships.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities :

  • Be an avid Vya ambassador, always embodying The Vya Way.
  • Leads the strategic planning, budgeting, and execution of all sales initiatives.
  • Lead and manage a team working with clients operating with distributed sales force.
  • Work with marketing to define a value proposition and product offerings to help the business engage with customers and prospects and increase sales and conversion rates.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales efforts with overall marketing strategies.
  • As the Sales Director at Vya, you will build relationships and close sales with existing as well as new customers.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients and partners.
  • Create and define ideal customer profiles in new markets.
  • Manage a team that focuses on both new and existing customers.
  • Align and provide leadership and accountability for top-line revenue goals within defined company margin criteria, customer satisfaction, and bottom-line results.
  • Appraise regularly and systematically the performance / effectiveness of available resources, strategies, tactics, policies, and procedures to ensure that sales and profitability objectives are met.
  • Develop sales forecasts and communicate with marketing, client services, and production to facilitate continuity of supply.
  • Develop 30-, 60- and 90-day sales plans, in addition to ongoing quarterly and long-term sales goals.
  • Strategically evolve the market playbook and go-to-market model to position for future success. Focusing on both new business and recurring revenue streams.
  • Develop solutions, proposals and programs for current and prospective customers to grow sales.
  • Identify incremental sales opportunities.
  • Achieve weekly, monthly and quarterly goals and performance metrics.
  • Partner with respective marketing team members to develop and execute marketing activities.
  • Recruit and develop a team that cultivates and fosters an environment of high performance, using performance management methodologies, employee development, career progression, compensation, rewards, and recognition.
  • Build commission structure and run across entire sales team (sales and account executives)

Position Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years Sales experience in one or more domains : Software systems (must-have), data analytics, print services, and marketing campaign services.
  • Experience selling inside an Account based environment.
  • Proven track record of sales leadership roles within the marketing operations or related services industry.
  • Experience in solution & consultative selling of integrated solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets, with a strong focus on acquiring new customers and nurturing existing customer relationships.
  • Familiarity with clients operating with distributed models, such as financial services, insurance, retail, franchising.
  • Ability to analyze large volume of sales data from a variety of sources to develop robust sales strategy.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and lead teams to achieve common goals.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Travel occasionally for conferences and customer meetings)
  • Self-motivation and ability to work with limited amount of direction; ability to work both independently and within a team to accomplish goals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; ability to speak in front of large groups, conduct training and promotions.
  • Strong work ethic; demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Google and / or Microsoft Office applications.
