Gulf Coast Industrial is seeking a highly motivated IT Support Specialist to join our Technology Team in Mulberry, Florida.

In this position, you would be providing support to our growing organization. The chosen candidate will perform regular help desk duties including, but

not limited to, onsite and offsite team members, troubleshooting computer and peripheral issues, and basic network connectivity.

To excel in this role, applicants should demonstrate attention to detail with excellent troubleshooting abilities. Proficiency with printers / copiers, basic networking, Windows-based operating systems, knowledge of mobile operating systems, and Office 365.

JOB DESCRIPTION :

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Support Specialist to join our IT team. This individual will be responsible for providing support to our on-site off-site teams, troubleshooting desktop and basic network issues, and ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

CRITICAL SUCCESS CRITERIA :

• Must be able to provide technical support to users, resolving hardware and software issues.
• Must be able to install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals.
• Must be able to diagnose and troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
• Must be able to maintain accurate records of technical issues and solutions.
• Must keep abreast of the latest technology trends and recommend improvements.
• Must assist in training for new employees and other training sessions as required.
• Must assist with other projects and tasks as required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with non-technical users.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

The IT Support Specialist assists the Director of Information Technology in providing support services :

• Provide user support on Windows-based operating systems.
• Troubleshoot basic network connectivity.
• Document trouble tickets.
• Ability to answer telephone calls professionally, keep up with emails, and make sure messages are handled courteously, accurately, and on time.
• Assist in AD / DS administrative tasks.
• Assist in IT inventory tracking.
• Image and deploy systems.
• Assist the IT Director in projects assigned by the President of GCI.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS :

Predominantly this position will require office setting type work at employer-provided computers in climate-controlled locations.

At times, there will be exposure to hot / humid environments, heavy equipment, exposure to low levels of RF, and loud sounds.

Ideal candidates must be safety conscious.

• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• The ability to sit and stand for long periods of time is required for this position.
• Gulf Coast Industrial is a drug-free workplace. Candidates must be able to pass a post-offer / pre-
• placement drug screen and job-related employment physicals.
• Reliable transportation will be required.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE :

• 2 to 3 years of experience.
• CompTIA Network + is not required but helpful.
• CompTIA A+, not required but helpful.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and other computer programs
• Valid Florida Driver’s license and Florida Insurance
