As the Regulatory Compliance Associate, you will assist with the planning, implementation, and auditing of; environment of care, life safety, environmental protection agency, and occupational safety and health administration programs and activities and other deemed auditing requirements.
You will manage the Regulatory Liaison Program pertaining to assigned facilities. Our main priority is patient safety as well as building / caregiver / visitor / student etc.

Job Responsibilities : Collects and analyzes data to identify adverse trends and high loss potential incidents.Conducts Mock Surveys and Life Safety Assessments of the physical environment and reviews inspection, testing, maintenance documentation for regulatory compliance according to TJC, CMS, and other authorities having jurisdiction.
Performs quality assurance audits of work orders, participates in root cause analyses, corrective action identification, and prepares reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
Conducts classroom and one-on-one or small group training of various Life Safety and Environment of Care topics.Reviews and monitors adherence to regulatory compliance policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.Education : Bachelors degree in a science, engineering, business, safety, or other applicable field.
Certifications : Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) OR obtain within 1 year of hire date.Valid driver's license.
Current petencies (Complexity of Work) : Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Must be able to travel to local, national, and international Cleveland Clinic facilities.
Work Experience : 2 years of experience within one or more regulatory oversight fields to include environment of care, OSHA, EPA, Fire and Life Safety, Infection Prevention, or other similar areas.
Physical Requirements : Typical physical demands require full body motion including ability to perform work while bending, stooping, stretching, climbing ladders.
Requires color acuity sufficient to distinguish color-coded signage and systems.Personal Protective Equipment : Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
