Our client, a logistics distribution company is looking to hire a Forklift Operator for their location in Buena Park, CA.
In this position, you would operate sit-down and stand-up (reach) forklifts. Compensation starts at $18.75 working Monday to Friday.
Your Day-to-Day :
- Operate sit-down and stand-up (reach) forklifts in a safe and efficient manner following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Load and unload materials and products from trucks, trailers, and storage areas using forklifts.
- Stack and organize products and materials in designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues to supervisors.
- Assist in inventory control by accurately recording and tracking materials and products moved using forklifts.
- Follow all warehouse policies and procedures to ensure the smooth flow of operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping and removing debris from aisles and storage areas.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Valid forklift certification.
- Proven experience operating sit-down and stand-up (reach) forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and materials as needed.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Basic math skills for inventory tracking and record-keeping.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Pay Rate / Shifts :
- 1st Shift : 4 : 00 am 12 : 30 pm, $18.75 per hour
- 2nd Shift : 12 : 30 pm 9 : 00 pm, $19.25 per hour
- 3rd Shift : 7 : 30 pm 4 : 30 am, $20.25 per hour
