I am the medical director for the Sound Hospital Medicine program at SSM Health DePaul in Bridgeton, Missouri. I’ve been a part of Sound since 2017, having been with SSM DePaul for many years before joining this medical group.

I take pride in the hospitalist practice we’ve built and welcome interest from physicians entering the field or seeking a career change.

People

• Our team of 28 physicians and 4 advanced practice providers (APPs) is well-established and is supported by 3 clinical performance nurses, a hospitalist coordinator, and a program manager.

Practice

We eagerly embrace the challenge of handling complex cases. Our ICU is closed, and there’s no requirement for procedures or codes.

We’re fortunate to have 24 / 7 in-house specialty support across almost all areas.

Our patient population is often severely ill, making our team members the happiest when dealing with complexity and high acuity.

They find comfort in the strong support network available around the clock.

• We currently seek a Day Hospitalist. Our schedule is predictable, as 7 on 7 off and team members help to cover for each other when we wish to be off for travel or personal obligations.
• As a team, we meet monthly and maintain regular communication regarding our practice, the hospital, and Sound Physicians as a whole.
• We work in EPIC and have access to an internal informatics platform.
